You can endorse the check 'pay to the order of ...'. Whoever you are paying is not required to accept such a check. Most companies won't. Your best bet is to cash the check and use the money to make your payment. If that is a problem, ask whoever wrote to check to you to replace it with a check made out to whoever you need to pay.

Deposit the check with your name on it and write another one out to your payment place.

go to wherever your paying the bill and sign the cheque on the back and give it to them for the payment

I believe you can just sign it over to another person or company.
