It CAN, but the best way to lean muscles is through strength training. In fact, too MUCH walking or cardio can actually lead to a LOSS of muscle mass.

Cardio is not the great exercise we've been told it was for so long. Strength training (with WEIGHTS), combined with proper diet, is FAR more superior for losing fat and toning muscles.

Yes but you have to walk regulalry and at a fairly brisk pace - typically half an hour a day.

It only tones certain muscles, primarily those in your legs. A better all round exercise is cycling but best of all is swimming.

Swimming is the only exercise that tones your entire body, it improves fitness, strength, stamina etc etc.

yes and builds more dense bone mass, don't worry if u initially begin to gain weight its a by product of the muscle mass increase.

for some ppl it can give you larger muscle mass in this legs. yoga is a great exercise to do to get that leaner muscle look. read more tips on yoga and routines on this site
