nothing extremely new...but a few hints...
-be always on time..attendence is number 1..some teachers close the door and don't let you come in till you go to the office and get a late form or untill the teacher lets you in (after a little talk)...or some might let you in, but your name gets marked down for detention after school or class!!!..lol...just keep a good attendence
-And because you get to have a more class decision variety..you could be stuck with a lot of random teachers..so be prepared. If you go to the school counsellor..you could have permission to change your teacher...but beleive me..it's not that easy
-Lockers!
pro: finally!
con: depending on your school, you "may" not have the choice of where you want to have your locker...so be prepared...and some schools require to only buy a lock for the school..not your own..or else they cut the lock you bought...If you change locks...also...have your lock cut. Locks are checked a few times each year.
-other then that...good luck!

Hey just don't worry everything will be fine High School really is a breeze. I remember my sophomore year, I came new at the beginning of the 2ND 9 weeks & so I had even more attention on me but all I had to do was be nice & polite & smile and everything went great. I made new friends my first week & it got better after that. Make it through your first day with a smile & you will be great the rest of the time. I'll be praying for you. Good Luck!

Just breathe and take it one day at a time. It is never too early to start thinking about what you want to do after high school, like a career. For example, if you want to do music, art or math, make you sure you take classes that will help you prepare for the next level.
Other than that. High School is a time that you always look back at. What you do during the next four years will start defining who you are as a you become a young adult. Most importantly, relax and have fun. You don't have to worry about paying the bills or anything. :)

Smile!!! People will be drawn to you. Don't be afraid to make new friends. Most of the others in your grade will be just as nervous as you are. Also, ask the other person questions (not too personal) about themselves -- it's a subject they know about and are generally flattered to be asked. Ask what movies they've seen lately, about their classes, etc. Good luck!!!!!

Join organizations and get involved, don't be afraid to meet new people and try new extracurricular activities such as band or a sport, but most importantly, don't forget to study. Try to take advanced level classes if possible. Homework comes first!

Give thought to who you are. Do this often. And remember that who you are cannot be determined by the opinions and tastes of others unless you just want to be an unhappy tool. You must take your experiences and decide for yourself who you are.

Just relax, smile, work hard, and don't stress over this or that. Your first job is to do good at school, everything else comes in second place, including fashion.
