I've read the Bible, and I don't think it's anywhere in it. You must have read it somewhere else.

Their lifestyles had nothing to do with it. It was simply a rule for temple worship. The high priest was the only one permitted into the Holy of Holies, anyone else who entered would be dead. So, in the event the high priest did die while in there, he could be pulled out without anyone else entering the Holy of Holies.

My pastor told me that in those times that if that Jewish priest was not right with god in his spiritual walk that priest would as soon as he enter the temple. And they tied a rope to his leg because only the most high priest were allowed to enter the temple.

this isn't derived from the Tanach (Jewish Bible), yet from the Talmud. in the 2d Temple there grow to be a era even as the area grow to be offered by technique of the Roman governor to the utmost bidder. even as a number of those men entered the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur, they died on the spot and had to be dragged out by technique of a rope tied round their waists.

I can't tell you verse but it is in the old testament. The sanctuary is called the holy of holies and the priest is the only one who can set foot there. So they tied a rope around his ankle just for that reason.
Now I think the Orthodox are the only ones who do this though.

it's not in the Bible, but I have read about this in commentaries as being something that the priest did.

I know what you're talking about, and I've read it myself too. I'm not sure if it was because they had such sinful lifestyles tho, I think it was just a precaution.
I'm not sure where it is, you can look it up in your concordance in the back of your Bible if you have one.

yes if they werent totally submitted to God and humble they would put a bell arounf thier feet so that they could tell if they were struck dead or not. because the rest of them weren't allowed in because they werent considered worthy, so they sent the preist in to offer the sacrifice to God. its in the old testament.

Not in Bible.
Perhaps a commentary that you were reading.
Perhaps even a sermon you heard.
