I am at a loss for words. My visiting 12 y.o. nephew for some unknown reason even to himself, decided to urinate in the bathroom sink instead of the toilet. Both were clean and in perfect working order. I think he did it on a whim- I don't know- But instead of just yelling at him it is gross and disgusting I would like to have some hard facts to throw at him as to why not to do it again. I swear I am stunned. I only have a daughter who to the best of my knowledge has never urinated in a sink. I did make him clean the entire sink/walls/floor- anywhere the urine may have splattered with bleach cleanser.

I'm guessing it was a strange impulse. Who can possibly fathom the whims of the male brain!!!! However, urine is sterile in the bladder and only becomes contaminated upon leaving the body. Because of the male anatomy, they are a lot less likely to have bacteria in their urine whereas women (because of their anatomy) contaminate their urine with tons of skin cells and bacteria. It is still a bit gross and rude and uncivilized. Definitely sounds like something a man would do.......

determined each individual isn't unavoidably functional or reason. upload drunkenness to that. That reported, I actually have by no skill resorted to such action. I actually were in circumstances the position I had no recourse. The inevitable got here about. yet to make use of a sink is bothersome fairly if he might want to no longer discover it interior himself to freshen up after himself. Realistically, the sink drains to the same position. some cleansing soap and water, or bleach will fix issues proper up. Psychologically...it really is yet another remember. the concept is merely repulsive.

There's nothing phsyically harmful with it, except that some people wash their face or hands by filling the sink with water insted of letting it run. But it is very impolite, and the sink is simply not for peeing. at 12 he should know better

Why as an adult do you feel the need to explain anything to him other than it's sick, socially unacceptable and it's YOUR HOUSE and YOU make the rules? Why parents feel the need to explain everything is beyond me. What ever happened to "BECAUSE I SAID SO?"

The only hard facts you need are the hard facts you are going to lay on his behind if he does it again. Tell him that!
