Correction, you just saw a group of people on TV calling themselves a church and they had a sinner on his way to hell as a leader and a speaker?

There are many churches that are open to accepting gay people as members. I have never heard of an all-gay church. Most of the answers to this question are from people who have not really spent any time researching homosexuality and the bible. They are just repeated things that have been forced down their throat.

I challenge anyone to find a passage where Jesus says anything about gay people.

A Summary from http://worldpolicy.org/globalrights/sexorient/bible-gay.html

When one compares the original Hebrew and Greek writings with various English translations of the Bible, discrepancies emerge. There are many passages in English Bibles which clearly condemn same-sex activities. But when the original Hebrew or Greek text is studied, the passages are either ambiguous or are unrelated to consentual homosexuality within a committed relationship. Two words which are often mistranslated in many places in the Hebrew Scriptures are:

qadesh means a male temple prostitute who engaged in ritual sex; it is often mistranslated as “sodomite” or “homosexual.”
to’ebah means a condemned foreign Pagan religious cult practice, but often translated as “abomination.”
We have concluded the following:

The Bible has a lot to say about temple prostitution, including homosexual ritual prostitution. This was a common practice within the Canaanite fertility religion; some believe that the practice was also taken up by some ancient Israelites.
God’s destruction of town of Sodom had nothing to do with homosexuality
The Bible says little about homosexual feelings.
It says nothing about sexual orientation; the concept of orientation dates only from the late 19th century.
A number of homosexual relationships are described positively or neutrally in the Bible
Of the many hundreds of Jesus’ instructions and prohibitions, few have a sexual component and none condemn homosexuality.
Paul may have condemned same-sex sexual activities by homosexuals, but the passages are unclear; there are many possible interpretations.
Bible translators must be aware of the errors that have been made in previous versions of the Bible; they are widely discussed in theological literature. But it would probably not be economically possible at this time to produce a translation of the Bible that was accurate. People are so used to expecting homophobic references in a half-dozen locations in scripture that they probably would not buy a Bible that was accurate to the original text, or which admitted that the meanings of certain words are unknown.

Why would a gay church be without god anymore than a normal church. What about churches where priests molest children? Where pastors are having affairs? Because the leader is a "sinner", god does not recognize the church? How absurd. As you like to remind everyone, everyone sins. Why would one sin be any more offensive to god than another?

What do I think, HMMM, lets think, I think you are a hypocrit first of all. Second, I think gay based churches are wonderful. Do you not think that gay people worship the same god???? Its sad that you think your better than anyone else cause u fck the opposite sex. Keep your stupid closeminded ideas out of my bedroom. God doesnt hate anything, and there are WAY to many gay people in this world for God to not have had anything to do with it. Get over it and get on with your pathetic little life.

I think you are missing the fundamental principles of Christ. Read the 10 commandments, it's right there, #2. How about Matthew 7.? Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Do you condone stoning? Do you kill where the Bible says it's permissible? Get a clue, an IQ, and if you find those, think for yourself.

God does not tell you which words in the Bible to live by. You chose them. It is that simple. Commandments or Leviticus. You chose prejudice, I chose peace.

When all the churchy people kick them out what did you think they were going to do? Just stop worshipping God because you can't accept them?
God loves them and their worship. Hate against these people is a worse sin than anything else I can think about.

Jesus himself said to not judge others for their sins as you're a sinner as well. So stop judging others and do your best to be a good christian yourself.

Whether they will go in heaven or not isn't your say, its Gods. Who do you think you are to say who will go in heaven and who wont? Arrogance is a sin.

So many people with a middle-ages (primitive) mentality. I bet if I gave you a torch you would go and burn witches. Sigh.

Where do you think God is? On a cloud somewhere? God is everywhere, God Loves everyone! Prejudice is a human invention and has not served him very well. The truth is in your heart, feel it, and follow it. You are loved!

For whenever two or more of you are gathered in His name.

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Have we not all one Father? Did not one God create us?

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone

Love thy brother

Notice the last one doesn't say only if he's white, protestant, heterosexual - it simply says love thy brother.

Maybe they can get married there, and they won't keep wanting to bring their way of thinking to our churches. I say they need to stay in their own places, just like Sodom and Gomorrah.
Remember, God did not bother them, until they messed with His own people.

God loves all, I believe that if you love god and trust him in your heart then he will be with you. I believe that the gay church can have the spirit as much as any church as long as its members believe and follow him. Personally i don't think god has problem with gays, i think the bible was miss written and mistranslated and scribed by human prejudice, error, and a desire to make sure the religion survived by new births.
