I don't understand why people would want to convert to a religion that encourages terrorism. Are they being brainwashed??
I'm looking for serious answers please.. I just want to know if you have any ideas- maybe from personal experience or people you know..

Before I get to your question...let me give you two numbers (this coming from a Christian):
30 - highest possible percentage (when taking into account everything that has happened in recent events) of "Muslims" who encourage, support or actively commit terrorism in the name of Wahabbist Islam or Iranian-type Islamic theocracy
70 - Obviously this lowest possible percentage of Muslims either live for peace and tolerance, stay neutral in the current war or actively fight against the Terrorists.
As for why people convert...It's their choice (usually). Some are forced...especially in the backward regions of the world like Pakistani provinces and in Africa and even in Southeast Asia, but most choose to either out of conviction or some other important reason.
Besides if I was an American Protestant who follows the likes of Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Hugh Lindsay, Benny Hinn and other wack TV nutjobs...I'd convert too... Fortunately I am not so stupid as to follow the said nutjobs or the Pope like sheep.

If you believe that Islam encourages terrorism either someone is lying to you or you have been watching too much of the Fox News channel.
May I suggest doing some research into the precepts of Islam either on the Internet or at your local library. Even better, if there is a mosque in your city, become acquainted with some Muslim people and find the truth for yourself.

Islam does not encourage terrorism. I suggest stop watching the biased western TV news and read history and see who are the real terrorists. Now, you can see acts of aggression, pre-emptive strikes being done to Muslims. Mainly in Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Occupied territories of Palestine. See who are the aggressors and war lovers.
Read the Quran and see for yourself why people are converting.

People say Islam is the fastest growing religion
but that doesnt mean it is.
Certainly Islam grows very fast, however it is only because they breed like rabbits and have huge families. Football teams even.
You wanted a serious answer and believe me, I am being serious.
Also Muslims are killed if they leave Islam. Heck we kaffirs are killed if we speak against it or even draw a kiddy picture of their stupid prophet.

To know why they convert, how about read the holy book of AL-QURAN.
There are many verse that prove christian nowaday are false. They believe a false trinity and so on. I dare you to read the book, and finish them. See if you convert or not. THERE IS A SECRET beyond religion.
