Vanilla specks are actually the little tiny seeds found in a vanilla bean. So what you want to do is buy a vanilla bean, and split lengthwise into two pieces. Then scrape the inside of each bean half with your knife and you'll get a tiny clump of vanilla seeds, or vanilla specks. That what you need for your recipe. Happy cooking!

Just go to a natural foods store and buy a fresh whole dried vanilla bean. Split the bean lengthwise with a knife, and scrape out the tiny little black seeds inside. These are your vanilla specks!

Just buy a whole vanilla bean, they are long, dried and brown/black...Like a skinny dried out green bean. Look in your grocery stores spice aisle. You split them with a knife lengthwise and scrape out the little specks inside with the back of a knife. They have tons of flavor....they are the specks you see in vanilla bean ice cream. You can use the empty "pod" to flavor your sugar, just throw in your sugar container and it will give it a little vanilla essence...great for coffee.
Good luck!

This is probably referring to the little seeds inside a vanilla bean. You split it open and use the edge of your knife to scrape them out, then add them to the recipe. You can see them in things like Breyers ice cream- they give a really nice flavor, but if you're in a pinch just use vanilla extract.

Yes. It's the inside of a vanilla bean. You split it down the middle length wise and scrape the inside with a knife.

Is it a German, Austrian ... receipe? In Germany you would possibly want to purchase "Vanillezucker" in small paper luggage. Its sugar flavoured with vanilin. about 20 gramms to 500 g flour or a million/2 l. Milk. Vanillezucker is manmade. Vanilla pods have a extra effective style. you may upload organic vanilla extract to the sugar, you should use small cans (oil), you should use sugar you've flauvored with vanilla pods in it. Its as a lot as you. that is purely to make it tasty and the dosage relies upon on your own style.
