To the religion you already practice? I am really curious about this, I've seen it. Does, for instance, a Christian get offended when another Christian tries to convert them?

Well, I have had people try to convert me from one denomination of Christianity to another. It was at a public place where they had a booth set up and everything. I feel rather proud of the fact that I argued my side well enough that bystanders told us they thought I was right. I suppose it kind of peeved the people who were trying to do the converting, but then you reap what you sow.

I actually had a friend from school try to convert me in sixth grade. I didn't make a big deal out of being agnostic at the time, but she found out and pestered me for about half a year. In high school she ended up being a huge whore. Funny how the people that annoy you as children are just as bad later down the road. I don't hold it against her, as her family was pretty messed up.

I have had several people question my beliefs more currently, but I walk away if they begin to insult my beliefs or act condescendingly. It always seemed like it was the socially inept people who tried to do this.

Yes, others have tried to convert me to their religious beliefs, forcefully. I cannot be shoved into others dogmas, as my will , and personal beliefs prevent this. I am more spiritual, than religious, and do not practice any hard and fast rules concerning religion. I do remain open to aspects of Christianity, but hate the whole brimstone thing. Hell is relative in my opinion. I do love the serenity that I've witnessed among practicing Buddhists. Besides, who's to say that we are not all praying to the same God?

Hi, I am one of Jehovah's wittnesses, My Catholic Family is gentile. But they do try to push Catholism on to me. All family gatherings are predisposed to talk about the local Priest and his All Most Sainthood. Yes, I had a fan email me and he was trying to get me to believe that masturbation was not a sin and that I should read books by Ernest Angley.

I don't get offended but it is funny, if not irritating.

I've been approached by Christians, Mormons (on line anyway... I'm not white enough for them otherwise), Muslim, and JW's. They were all fanatics, and mentally ill.
