the reason is, i have really really long hair and in the summer its like a long blanket of wool or something so i put it in ponytails but ponytails are giving me alot of split ends, so i thought...headband...weird and stupid for a 29 year old woman?? i need help!!! lol

If you have a really fashionable head band that matches an out that should look cute. Maybe you should go with a headband that sort of blends with your hair. Ponytails shouldn't give you split ends. Maybe you’re using the wrong hair tie.

no.actually the trend is coming back with extra wide head bands that are made of spandex or other stretch material.it is placed in the middle of the head, a little after the bangs have begun.so that the bangs are hanging down as normal,but the headband is holding the middle part of the hair in place, and the back can be in a ponytail or swept up.it would be a really cute look for you.try it!!!

I like headbands and I'm 21. I think they are cute. Just make sure you don't wear ones that are obviously for kids - like ones with bright pink flowers or rainbow prints. Stick with the more sophisticated ones or try a scarf once in a while.

It is a grown womans perrogative to wear whatever she wants... and headbands are designed to keep the hair pushed back from the forehead, and they are quite fashionable, no age on them at all............ Some can be uncomfortable though, so try a few...

i think that you should do whatever makes you feel happy ands makes you feel like a woman. It doesnt mattter if you 5 years old or if your fifty, wearinga headband is just like wearing a scruncy. So who really cares if you wear it, but make sure that you wont be killing yourself all day worrying about how you look with it on.

no! they are so cute! especially if you have long hair. it is also in style to wear your hair in a ponytail with a headband. you can also wear your hair curley with a headband. <3

If you have the right hair and style for it that's fine.
What looks dumb is 50 year olds in barrettes.
29 is still young enough to look good in head bands!

I say do what you want. We are soooooooo controlled by the fashion police and what others think. I guess as we age we realize what others think of us does not matter. I'm 49 and I could give a hoot what others think of what I wear. I am into comfort baby.

I don't think it looks bad, especially if you need your hair off your face. When it gets hot and you have long hair you'll do just about anything (short of cutting the hair) to get it off you, and just about anything can be done tastefully. Besides why are you so worried about what others think?

I use headbands more for function than style. As long as they don't have cartoon characters on them, you should look fine.
