Sadly no. People try it, but a true Christisn would believe in Genesis. Genesis and evolution do not mix. People try to make it mix, but they say things like, when day is used, it means millions of years. Day is defined, just a few verses before, as morning to evening. So to cut it short, no, you can't do both. If you have any questions, e-mail me at Jackal1412@GMail.com

Many Christians believe in evolution. Afterall the Proestant Church EVOLVED from the Catholic Church.
Now if you're saying man got here by evolution from a monkey, no.
There are so many things that can't be explained, such as WHY ARE MONKEYS NO LONGER MUTATING CRO-MAGNONS.
Why did the "evolution" stop.
I mean Ma and Pa moneky gave birth to a defect call Cro-Magnon and a bunch of their friends also had these defecitve monkeys and when these less hair monkeys with finger nails insetead of claws grew up they mated other Cron-Magnons and started a new race.
So why is it monkey's stopped making Cro-Magnons!?
What is was a ONE TIME THING.
This season we spawn Cro-Magnons instead of the usual Chimps?
Maybe Ma and Paw monkey went to a fertitilty doctor and he put their sperm and egg into a test tube and tinkered with the genes and produced that Cro-magnon.
Zoologists how watched monkeys over about 200 years since we started have zoos and wild life preserves in Africa and not one monkey has ever made a Cro-magnon in recorded history that can be document.
Now it's up to the Agnostics to explain that one!
Why isn't evolution continuing. I mean it started, it stopped.
I mean there was a species of monkey that's not around anymore or something? We have proof of that?
Let's face it science doesn't belive in Big Foot either. Maybe that's the spieces!
Do we have a lot of skeletons and fossils with DNA we might be able to test.

Concerning the debate going on about intelligent design and evolution: is it possible that the final answer about which of these two seemingly opposite ideas is correct could simply be yes?
With one position firmly held by the believers and the other just as fearlessly defended by the non-believers, if you happen to be in a position somewhere near the middle, it does not look all that complex. From this position, you wonder why either-or has to be the answer.
If you believe that some higher being created the universe by intelligent design, what more elegant and intelligent design could there have been than a self-regulating system that continually checks its own errors and makes its own corrections in mid-stream as an integral part of the process.
This all seems quite logical to me although it probably won’t satisfy the believers because they are afraid to see any truth other than the one they have been told to believe in. Inversely it certainly won’t satisfy the non-believers because it leaves them stuck with a god that they are so obviously terrified of.
To sum up this view from the center, it might be most easily be explained by saying perhaps the designer was intelligent. Problem is, the designer was likely so intelligent that those seeking to prove that it is intelligently designed may be incapable of ever understand it well enough to see it for the elegant self regulating design that it has always been.
The nonbelievers will be similarly handicapped due to the internal terror the have about the idea that there may be a God. Neither side being able to leave their entrenched position for fear they may have to admit they were wrong. While the rest of us stand by trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Personally I don’t think anyone is wrong, I just feel both sides are about half right.
Love and blessings

Hell No! I don't "accpet" anything, but I do accept the Word of God from cover to cover and everything in between. How dare you claim I or any other TRUE Christian deny the authenticity of God's Word and call us agnostic.
I would advise you to get a life, but you have one. It won't be everlasting unless YOU believe. Now, be about your business and stop inciting trouble.
God Bless you in the NAME OFJESUS!

OK, explain this one to me . . . Heavenly Father put Adam and Eve in a garden. They lived there until they ate the fruit which gave them the knowledge of good & evil plus the curse of mortality. How many years did they exist in that garden prior to eating the fruit? It doesn't say on the 8th day, they ate fruit and even if it did--we know God's time is not the same as our earthly time and measures. So who is to say that what our mortal minds define as evolution (and do not humor me with the men from monkey statement which isn't what Darwin said) wasn't part of the creation process itself? I, for one, don't know what processes He used to create the world, but I do believe He did.
Next:
Agnostic: 1 One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God. 2One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism. 3 One who is doubtful or noncommittal about something.
Not interpreting the scriptures in one set way does not make a person agnostic.

I don't really know what qualifys as a "true" Christian, nor do I beleive I am one. I beleive in God, and I beleive that part of the earth has been changed by evolution. To be a "true" Christian you cannot beleive in anything other than what the Bible tells from what I know. But you can beleive in evolution, and still beleive in God, which in my opinion, beleiving in God is all that matters, the rest is just pish posh.

It doesn't matter what anyone else's definition of "true" Christian is. God gave you a brain to think with and rationalize. He also made the world. There is scientific proof of evolution. Would He have you deny that? Just some thoughts...

No, I've tried it and I just can't justify the many, gaping wholes in evolution. Did you know that temites can't digest wood. They have a symbiotic relationship with a parasite. The parasite needs to wood and it produces a substance that the termites live on. When they eat wood they are really feeding the parasites that inturn feed them.
How could termites exsist long enough for evolution to figure that out? Where did the parasites live before they "evolved" to live in termites? What did the termites eat before they entered into this relationship? Why didn't they keep eating that?
My only answer is that the termites had to be created with these things in their guts and they've been eating wood ever since. God had to make them that way.

No, Christianity states the Bible is literal and to be taken literally.
Evolution has no place in the Bible's account of the beginnings of the universe.
However, you will find some 'Christians' who believe the Bible is not entirely literal, therefor, they believe science and religion can go hand in hand. There is the notion that God did indeed create the universe and it's celestial bodies, but evolution ocurred on Earth.
The problem there, is that those so called Christians are strong believers in evolution, and in order to make it work within their religious boundaries, they have to 'bend' the Bible a bit to fit their needs.

first, please read genesis 34. it's almost as amazing as the part of genesis that says giants married humans.
in fact, very few christians are stupid enough to take the bible literally. people who do are in a very small minority and are very uneducated about the bible. try reading 'misquoting jesus' for a small introduction. go the national geographic website and read the gospel of judas.
lastly, most christians believe in evolution, pope john paul II said evolution is clearly how god did it. most bioligcal evolutionists are chriistians and several evangelical christians have expressed their disgust at their fellow 'christians' for so knowingly misleading people.
it's all about consolidating politcal power. if you don't believe in evolution, you are basically a stooge. embarassing, isn't it?
p.s. evolution does not say humans came from monkeys - we came from a common ancestor and that is obvious to anyone who's spent time in a zoo. even if you don't know how similar our dna is.

Yes, many Christians accept evolution which makes sense since it is supported by evidence in nearly all of the scientific disciplines. You'll find a far great percent of Christians that accept evolution than atheists that don't.
