The Bible says Man does not live by Bread alone, but by every word that comes out of his Mouth.

I take it you are referring to the "Bread of Life" discourse in John chapter 6. In verse 53 Jesus says, "The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life". Many Protestants interpret this as, "The words I have spoken to you are just supposed to be spiritual truths, not taken at face value". Of course, if the Protestant interpretation is supposed to be understood that way then why does the Bible tell us in verse 60 that,"from that time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed Jesus"?
Jesus never meant it to be symbolic and his disciples never understood it as symbolic either.
