It depends upon your definition.

Empty space has no beginning or end in any direction.

However, all of the matter and energy in the universe should be contained within a bounded volume.

In astronomy theory the stars in the universe are expanding at a high rate of speed. If the rate of expansion is such that the gravitational pull of all the matter in our universe will slow down the stars until they collapse into one another it is a closed universe and will come to an end. If the expansion of the stars exceeds the escape velocity to overcome the gravity then the universe will expand forever. It is a theory based on observations.

The trouble with finding the theoretical end of the universe is that once you've found it, its not there anymore. The universe is expanding with increasing acceleration all the time. The edge of the universe is constantly changing. So, even though we can say that the universe has an edge, that edge is not a constant.

It's endless. How can there be a beginning and ending point when it comes to space? In fact, I heard that since the creation of the universe that it hasn't stopped creating itself...that it's still growing and expanding..isn't t that amazing? That totally epitomizes who God is: omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent. His love, like the universe, is ENDLESS!

No wonder our corporations are going to China and India to find scientists and engineers. Evangelicalism has turned the US into a nation of science illiterates who get their notions of the physical Universe from writers who thought the earth sits on pillars.

No one knows for sure.

A lot depends on the definition of our universe and waht is beyond!

If we calls all the stars and mass the end of our universe and what is beyond it as nothing or some type of barrier than it had an end.

If there is no barrier and nothing beyond where the stars are, then it oculd be very very distant or possible has no end.

Every few years, they (scientists) announce they think they might have found the end of the universe-- and they look into it and they find out they were wrong.
I am not sure they will ever find the "end"...
It can be infinite and still be created by an infinite God.

I believe that the universe has no end... I think that it just goes on and on. Look how far the sun, mars and other planets are away from us. Thus it is neverending.

When you find the end, let me know because thus far to no avail. I tend to think the universe has no end or we would have found it by now, don't you think?
