everytime i try turning off the power button on my dell computer, which i hardly ever do?

i see a blank color screen, it changes from a red page to a yellow page to a blue page , and the power button want turn off my computer, what could it be? why is it doing this, i have a full Antivirus scanner,

hold thebutton down for about 45 seconds

You shouldn't be using the power button to shut dont your pc to begin with. However, if you have to, you need to hold in the power button until the pc shuts it self off. Could take a few seconds or closer to a minute.
