The Volkswagen Rabbit does come with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic and Sport mode on both the 2.5 two door, and the 2.5 four door models in Canada and the U.S.A.

the old ones only came in manual but the newer ones have automatic as a standard, but you can still get then in manual

yes they do and the golf gti has a 6 speed dsg paddle shift tansmission that is the fastest shifting system in the world

my girlfiend nicki had one in the late 70's but i think her dad had it altered for her cause she still used the stick for drive, park... ect. but no clutch
