They grind their teeth
They come up with the weirdest things (ufo's, government etc)
They color or write ALOT
They are up late at night
They sit in the same spot and do something constantly
They go to Walmart all the time (expecially late at night)
They have no money
They need to meet up with "Friends" and don't even hang around them...
They keep saying they are going to do something to change for the better
They say that there's so many things wrong with whatever
Just my 2 cents & experience dealing with the customers.... and smoking it myself a LONG time ago

I'll go with KL's answer on this. The teeth grinding thing is a distinguishable and disgusting habit for a meth user. Jutting of the jaw at times. Add paranoia, closing curtains, dark house, suspicion of everything, theft from the home, days of being awake and days of crashing, over sleeping. Obsessions with certain things. Emotional outbursts, green or tarnished skin, physical thinning, hollowed face and dark circles for those long term users.
They get pretty crafty at hiding their paraphernalia. Excuses are by tons! The list is endless and erratic.

Look for open sores on their face, arms and legs. That is the acid the body is rejecting. Meth is bad s h i t. Grass won't damage your brain.

It is really easy to tell.
They don't sleep for days and days. They are always busy doing something with their hands. They can't sit still for 3 minutes. I know of this person in the town where I live that does this crap and he is so very skinny. When you do this sort of thing, your not very hungry mainly because you are always on the go.

There are alot of great (and correct) answers here, but one thing I didn't notice was facial lesions - usually around the mouth.

look at the eyes..... are able to stay awake for long periods....when they crash they crash. they lie and steal from friends and relatives. they dont care .they take risks. they do not want to eat. they live off thier highs and go down hill fast. they are skinny people. they lose thier teeth at an early age. they are hyper and talk fast and will pawn anything they have and what you have to to get a high. God is thier only hope along with long term treatment

unreliable, hyper X days, then sleeping, doesn't pay bills. Doesn't answer phone. Doesn't answer door. Doesn't go to work. Doesn't eat. Starts shutting all the people and things that mean everything to them out....
