Yes, it is His primary means of communicating His plan for mankind and gives us the solution to find eternal life with Him. I believe this because the Bible tells me so, and before I am accused of circular reasoning, I will say that the Bible is internally consistent and externally verifiable. May God bless and keep you.

Absolutely. I think God still gives personal revelation to saved individuals. But we still need a written record that does not change to check out any revelation. If everyone just went on their personal experiences with God we would have a mess. And we actually do have a mess-look at how messed up our churches are. The main reason is that people and entire denominations have stopped believing in Gods word.
I know some will say that the Bible has been changed over the centuries. As our language changes we may need newer translations to speak to us in a more common language. That's what changes in the Bible-the language, but not the contents. All modern translations have been translated from old Hebrew and Greek text. The Bible is trustworthy.

Once a long time ago I thought that it was. Now that I know where it came from, and who put it together and why they did it I no longer do. There are far better ways to communicate with God.
There is a book called the course in miracles that attempts to teach you how to open a direct connection with God. Many people have had astonishing results using it. Of course all the bible thumpers say that it is the work of the devil, but if you read some of the things people have written using this method the book teaches you know this is nonsense.
I highly recommend it. I have actually worn out one copy and had to get a new one. The things people have been getting using this book make the bible sound more like the work of demons. Its that loving.
Love and blessings

Absolutely, It has prophecys and fulfilled prophecys to ensure that the others will be fulfilled. Tells us things that only a super power would know.
Such as Deuteronomy 23:12,13 about hygene
Isaiah 40:22 Hangs the earth upon nothing
Job 25:7 sits above the circle of the earth
How did those ancient people know that. Gives us the creation story. No other holy book does that. The history of mankind.
Laws and rules that spans many generations.

I believe the Bible holds many great answers and just as many great questions that can bring a person closer to God. I do believe that God would rather use people. When disaster strikes it's often God's people that show up to represent Him. God is often seeking people to represent Him throughout the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

Wow - a lot of unqualified people spouting off their opinion without doing a lick of original research about the Bible.
I strongly suggest that you research this issue yourself and not rely on ignorant strangers (myself included) to influence your decision on this very important question.
Ask yourself (or someone else):
1.) Is the Bible internally consistent? (i.e., is its message the same within the Bible).
2.) Is the Bible externally consistent? (i.e., are their historical facts that conflict with the "stories" that are documented in the bible).
3.) Knowing man's propensity to deceive himself and agreeing that 40+ individuals were the hands that wrote the various books of the Bible across thousands of years, without some sort of overarching guiding presence to control the message, how do you acount for the consistency (see #1 above).
4.) What was the very involved methods used by the ancient Jews to transcribe copies of the Bible and prevent changes to the Holy text?
5.) How many copies/pieces survive from ancient times? how many would be required to validate their consistency.
6.) How soon after these events that are being documented were they transcribed?
7.) Compare the answers in #5 and #6 to the same answers from some of the great works of ancient history (like Homer's Illiad), yet no one debates those works and to whom they are attributed.
But as someone else pointed out, it is one of God's chosen tools for communication. Another is our daily experience and our ability to reason.
Good luck.

Perfection's imperfect revelation:
The Bible is supposedly God's perfect Word. It contains instructions to humankind for avoiding the eternal fires of hell. How wonderful and kind of this God to provide us with this means of overcoming the problems for which he is ultimately responsible! The all-powerful God could have, by a mere act of will, eliminated all of the problems we humans must endure, but instead, in his infinite wisdom, he has opted to offer this indecipherable amalgam of books which is the Bible as a means for avoiding the hell which he has prepared for us. The perfect God has decided to reveal his wishes in this imperfect work, written in the imperfect language of imperfect man, translated, copied, interpreted, voted on, and related by imperfect man. No two men will ever agree what this perfect word of God is supposed to mean, since much of it is either self- contradictory, or obscured by enigmatic symbols. And yet the perfect God expects us imperfect humans to understand this paradoxical riddle using the imperfect minds with which he has equipped us. Surely the all-wise and all-powerful God would have known that it would have been better to reveal his perfect will directly to each of us, rather than to allow it to be debased and perverted by the imperfect language and botched interpretations of man.

If it is, then God doesn't know how to write well.
In fact, the Bible is just a collection of stories written by people. Those people tended to believe in superstitious things like gods, demons, angels, and devils. Therefore, that's what their stories were about.
Therefore, the Bible is more of a communication to people today about what people back then thought about.

How anyone believes that a book, written during a time when people had little knowledge of the world, science, or any access to hard facts, and was filled with mythologies to explain the unexplainable is a tool for a GOD. It's simply absurd.
