You can purchase a gatling gun on http://www.gunbroker.com made from 2 Ruger 10/22 rifles for $1099. Capable of firing around 1200 rounds per minute..

If you're looking for something a little less expensive but still fun to shoot. Try the "Drozd" it is a full auto BB gun. The Drozd is not a toy, it does look something like an Uzi and you can buy one for $169 on gunbroker.

If you're looking for high velocity rather than rounds per minute you can still check out GB. Either way they should have something for you. The .223 Remington(5.56NATO) is a very high velocity round and is available in surplus(cheap) ammo...There are a couple of nice .223 Remington Model 700 varmint rifles...

Yes, there is higher velocity ammo than the .223 , it is either expensive or very-very expensive compared to surplus .223's...

Do you mean the fastest bullet or the fastest cycling semi automatic. If bullet, some of the barrel burners are the 223 WSM, 204 Ruger, 220 Swift, 243 Win., 243 WSM, and the 22-250. The 204 and the 220 are close to the top in factory produced speed. The 243 is really not considered a barrel burner, but I reload mine to a vel. of 4100 feet per second. If you mean fastest cycling, then I would recommend an AR-15 carbine with an aftermarket light competition trigger. You can cycle one at an incredible rate once you practice, and be accurate.

Fastes round is something crazy such as the .22-243 Middlestead, or .22-25-06. For insanely fast barrel burning fun, put on your muzzlebreak and earmuffs and shoot the .22 Eargensplittinloudenboomer. (spelling?) It's a 378 Weatherby Necked down to .22

Disregard all the dumb answers about the AK47...it's not actually that powerful, and it isn't that fast. It's cheaply made and not very accurate.

There's that new 5.7mm carbine by FN in Belgium. I've seen them at the gun stores and gun shows, but they didn't hold my interest. I found them ackward when I brought them to my shoulder. That is because they are made to be fired with a flak jacket on.

I have the FN pistol in the same caliber, but nixed the idea of buying the matching carbine for the reason I mentioned. I can buy two rifles for the price of that carbine!
