I was just out for Subway a few minutes ago, and noticed a "La Raza" bumper sticker with a radio station frequency under it.
They say they aren't racist, yet, if white people had a station that said "The White People's Radio Station" --God forbid, we'd be the most racist bunch on the face of the planet...
---Is it just me or ....what's the deal with that?
Hell, if you can have a "hispanic radio station" why not have a "white radio station?"
....This world is full of hypocrisy...
--Rob
I guess I'm a racist now for pointing out this detail??
--Good, at least I know I'm p!ssing someone off!!

Sho_Ban...you live on an Indian reservation-- go figure...
I'm speaking of "La Raza" in terms of preaching that "The Race of Hispanics" should only be in "their country."
Which is what they truly believe.
Can you imagine all these alternative rock stations saying that? WTF...

Yours is a valid question that points out an obvious hypocrisy of racism. The reason for this is because the most racist(and historically violent) people have traditionally been whites. This has made it improper to differentiate whites from the rest of society when labeling a group, business, or event. Traditionally when a person wants to have a "white" radio station, or a "white" event, the culture their fostering is one of brotherhood for their fellow whites, but also, is almost always fostering the hate of another race. Personally I've never heard a Hispanic person say that they thought whites were an inferior race. Groups that have the distinction as being Hispanic, black, Asian, or whatever, are there to foster the betterment of their people and choose not to use hate of other races to do this. There are acceptable "white" radio stations, and TV channels, but they are not labeled white, and they generally do not foster hate of other people. These stations are labeled, British, Greek, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, etc. The lines between race and nationality have become blurred and this hypocrisy of racism is one the biggest paradoxes to emerge from this.

I think it IS racist, or at least has racist overtones to have this exclusionary group that caters ONLY to hispanics. Best revenge is to learn spanish, that way you're wise to their stuff...if they try to pull some of that 'navajo code talker' stuff on you you can turn right around and wow em with your 'se habla'...might be lots n lots 2 learn on their 'la raza' radio station, too...

come on, only white people can be racist!
Try imagining a few more examples.
National Association for the Advancement of Non-Colored People
United Whitey College Fund.
Congressional White caucus
Caucasian Expo
Need I go on…

I completely agree! Just tell me what "white mans music" sounds like. I understand what you are saying, and you're right, you would be labeled a racist. It drives me crazy too. Or how about a "White History Month"?

i don't know that many close by American politicians. that's the biggest reason. i think of there are extra Hispanic Politicians than close by human beings. Get me an outstanding candidate and get him in close by place of work. Then artwork him on up the chain.
