Both SGT B and Iraq51 are pretty close, the course is 9 weeks long and during the summer months of of ranger school each candidate will receive (1) MRE a day, they can split this up during the day as they so choose, during the winter months of the course each candidate will receive (2) MRE's a day, the MRE's are about 3200 calories each.

SGTB is 100% correct. Each Ranger candidate is issued 1 MRE (Meal Ready to Eat or any one who may not know) per day. When I was in (mid '70s) candidates were issued 1 container of C rations....and they were much to tote around in your field pack.
It is one hell of a way to lose weight...all the efforts and calories you expend during your 9 weeks (it may be more now) of Ranger school coupled with a single MRE per day....it could be the newest Oprah diet!
