I want to throw her a great party i want it to be funny but nice. I don't have to many ideas please help me everyone give me your ideas

She was born in 1956
She graduated from HS in 1974
So a Disco themed party sounds appropriate.
Disco is making a comeback as evident by the performance of KC and the Sunshine Band on the Today show ("Just the way I like it")

Fifty is over the hill, and depending on how she is at accepting of her age, you could do two things. Throw a party for her being 25 with years of experience, and really live it up..OR do the whole "over the hill" thing. Rent a walker, coat it in black streamers, get a bunch of gag gifts. Have the cake made so that it's a person tumbling down a hill. Have a bunch of gray wigs as party favors, serve only mushy food, etc. The sky is the limit, but it all depends on your mother's sense of humor. If you choose to do the latter of the two, make sure you and all the guests pitch in for a real gift like a weekend get a way. That way it's definately letting her know that it was all in fun and they really do care about her.

Since she was born in 56 why not have a this is your life party? Find baby pics, school pics etc and get them blown up and hang them on your walls where you're having the party. Invite 50 of her nearest and dearest friends. Play music from the last fifty years. Have her friends tell stories about her, funny but nice.
Make a dish from each of the decades of her life.
Start sending out those invitations and get some of her friends and your family to help you out. Someone has to keep her busy the day of the party so she doesn't suspect anything.
Tell her fifty is nifty, it's the new 30.

the best idea tht i can come up with is
leave small clues here and there with jokes and the next location to find the next location and then finally tell her to meet u at the "(party)" location.... i bet she would be surprised.....
it worked for me.
i started by a note on the car with the next note at her work and the next at my house and then the final party location was at my sis house.

hi, With it being in the summer season, you've gotten a coastline get at the same time to have a good time the get at the same time - with sense-good summer season get at the same time song, a fish fry, smoothies, cocktails, you may want to even play coastline volleyball and function a small campfire in the evening to toast marshmallows and make smores. also, yet another theory is you may want to all have a ladies evening in, you may want to easily relax and watch videos, take heed to song, play truth or dare, make a chocolate fondue, drink red lemonade, order pizza and do makeovers and spa remedies wish this helps, and inspite of you opt on to do, income from the get at the same time! x

how about a party with the theme of the year she graduated from high school...where everyone dresses the way they did back then... and get all the music..too.
