I've been trying to understand nutrition and the human body and am looking for any holes in my understanding.
Carbs are a main source of energy. Calories are energy units. To gain weight, you eat more calories than you burn during an average day; to lose weight, you eat less calories than you typically consume during a day. Protein is the major element involved in replenishing muscle fibers. Fiber helps the digestive track to flow and work properly. Vitamins are responsible for building cell tissue. A proper diet consists of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Muscles needs at least twenty-four hours to rebuild after working them to exhaustion...
I'm just curious as to my current level of understanding, if anyone has any tips please shoot them my way in this question. Thanks.
