This day signifies the coming of the 12th Imam (comparable to the Christian belief of the second coming of Christ). From the talk(legitimate), it sounds like the real deal. The expectation is that Iran will bomb Israel with conventional nuclear weapons and reclaim Palastine for the muslims that have been repressed. While the rest of the muslim world lays idle, Iran will decree itself a global superpower. This will force the U.S. to take a real hard look at Iran and (per Bush's State of the Union address a few years ago) folow through on the invasion that Bush has stated. Keeping in mind that Bush laid out his "Axis of Evil": Iraq, Iran and North Korea, we have already followed through with overturning Iraq.
This is the real deal and unfortunately the mainstream media is covering this as an "odd news" story. Glenn Beck covered it a week ago and did a good job with it. When you look at all of the happenings, it is simply not coincidence.

The 8 is one less than the 9, while both twos are one more than the ones.
