A propane barbeque runs off a tank that must be refilled over and over again with liquid propane (which costs more than natural gas). It especially costs more if you are using the small coleman size tanks. A natural gas (methane) barbeque runs off of the gasline in your house. It is under less pressure than a propane tank, but there is more gas flow (so you use double the gas (yet it is still cheaper)). This means a gas connector for a natural gas grill will be larger. Most propane barbeques can be converted to natural gas with the addition of a regulator and the proper connectors. You will save money in the long run if you install a natural gas grill instead, it is cheaper, burns cleaner and will never run out. Call your gas company for more information and never try to install one yourself.
