it depends on the situation and the guy.
If he rode the bus to save the environment, but had a jag in the garage for weekends. o k
If he lives with his mom because HIS house is so big and he wants to make sure she is safe and well taken care of.

These things are cues for what you are really like. Do you take care of your home? Do you take care with your appearance? Do you define yourself by your car? Question is.. how old are you? Are you trying to set up your future? Being unable to afford a car shouldn't be a point of judgement but it can be. Plus, if any of this puts your romantic interest off... then they seem to be rather materialistic--- do they want to change the good ol' you? If you like someone's personality, It shouldn't really matter, dude. If others are being judgemental... one needs to establish who they want to be and who they truely are. It is up to one's self for happiness.. no one else.

Date, yes, marry him, that's another question altogether. Depends. It's good to have a man with ambitions or some sort of drive and sense of family values.

I would date a person regardless of those things, but I would want the person I wanted to share my life with to be more stable. He doesn't have to financially take care of me I can do that for myself but he has to have something equal to bring to the table. That's just me.

i been with my man for 4yrs...he still live with his parents. he doesnt ride the bus but he doesnt have a car. to me, none of the materialistic things matter. if you're attracted to that one person...you're attracted to THEM, not their cars, clothes, home, or money.
