Why is a pig considered an uncleansed animal? When they are accually very clean animals. And why do they say that demon's should be put into the pig's?

I think it may be because pigs have some rather unhealthy habits, that encourage diseases easily transmitted to people when they are eaten.
Pigs can't sweat, therefore they must wallow in the mud. Guess what lives in muddy, swampy areas? Mosquitos, biting flies, leaches, etc. How many diseases do THEY carry? Let me count the plagues......
Pigs cannibalize their own dead, thereby contracting whatever infection killed the first pig.
PIGS CARRY TRICHINOSIS!!!!!! Due to what and where they eat. This is a very painful way to die, and disgusting also! It is impossible to know if the pig has it, without examining the muscle tissue with a microscope. There were no microscopes when the Bible (and Koran) were being written....but somebody knew about the danger anyway....
Part of the commandment may also have been symbolic: don't even consider this type of animal good enough for food, much less emulate it's behaviour.
The demon possession may only have been a vessel of chance: the pigs were there, and the demons were willing to take any other host available, if they couldn't have a human being.

Pigs become very mean if treated poorly. Poor treatment of farm animals was/is normal in some places, unfortunatelly. People don't realise that meanness of the animals is their own product.
Pigs eat just about anything. I've never seen it, but my friend told me that pigs can eat poop. This might be another reason they are considered unclean, in addition to wallowing in the mud. Pigs get very smelly if noone takes care of them. While horses get sick under similar conditions, pigs do OK.
So this is why pigs get picked on - because poor things can take a lot of picking.
I've never heard that demons should be put into pigs.

the reason why people thinks that pigs are unclean is because Jesus took the demons out of the man and send them into the pigs and then all those pigs went into the river and they all droned. so therefore pigs are not unclean

Pigs are known to carry a deadly parasite called tricanosis ( bad spelling). Also, as a hunter we have to wear gloves when we clean a hog because of the possibility of contracting a nasty bug that can kill you. I think God knew this and wanted to spare ppl who were unaware.

Pigs are great. They are considered unclean in Jewish dietary laws. They are clean for everyone else except Muslims. Why Muslims don't eat pork is beyond me.

I agree. Did you know Pig DNA is closer to Human DNA than any other animals? Maybe we should watch what we say about em.

While pigs wallow in mud to keep cool, they are not particularly "unclean." In jewish dietary law, though, they are not permissible because of certain characteristics (r lack thereof). The law is not, though, about "clean" but about "permitted by god."

No-one really knows, but it might have to do with ancient men noticing that people god sick when pigs were around.

pigs eat thier ****...a male pig will not make sex to his female unless another pigs come & make sex first....do u know that it has a worm in it..if u cook it or ur freeze it it will stay alive
