I am looking to gain weight in a healthy fashion. I am on a very low budget and I'm working out three times a week and trying to gain around thirty pounds. Right now this is my list of foods to purchase at the local "Kroger" store.

Bagels
Wheat Bread
2% Milk (to mix with my whey/protein supplement)
Eggs (Grade A, boy!)

Like I said, I'm on a pretty short budget, so are there any other healthy/important items missing from my list?

Bagels are not good carbs, but the wheat bread can be, depending on the fiber content. Stick to the 2%, don't have too many eggs, but you need some veggies. Carrots, mushrooms, squash and peas all are good carbs, yes, they are carbs as well as veggies. Remember to only have 3 pieces of fruit a day. It is a naturally ocurring sugar, but a sugar, nonetheless. Don't forget your protein. Chicken is good for you, roasted, grilled or baked. Skinless breasts are the best. Organic is better for everything, but sadly, it does cost more.

btw ~ is that an infinity symbol? cool, i'm a math major!!!

I would suggest drinking skim milk. It has all of the vitamins of 2% without the fat. I'd add some apples and veggie sticks for healthy snacks. Great list though!
