Best thing that I do is to keep in mind that I eat food to live not live to eat food....I have lost over 60 pounds and it does take alot of motivation to do it.. get with people that are trying to accomplish the same thing. this will help you not feel alone in doing this. My wife and I did it together... So keep up the good faith. I know that you can do it... Just keep in mind that you are doing it for yourself and nobody else.. I didn't loose the weight to impress someone else I did it as a decision to lead a better life for myself...You can do it just have to be determined to do it... Have a great rest of the weekend..

Yums is right, a buddy is a great help.

Also, you have to stop thinking of it as dieting. Think of it as a change in your life. For example, if one of your diet goals is to stop eating fast food, you can't think of it as something you are abstaining from, but you really wish you could have it. Instead, you have to think to yourself, "I don't eat fast food." Just like you don't eat dog meat or bugs. It's just not something you do. If you keep saying it to yourself, you'll make it true.

As for exercise, don't do it. Instead, PLAY. Sign up at the local YWCA for an amatuer sports league. You can pick whatever game you like - for example soccer or volleyball. You can play with and against others at your same ability and fitness level. Then you won't skip out on practice and games, because you'll be letting your team down. It will be a social experience and you'l l have fun. You won't even know you're exercising.

This is a great question.

In my opinion, people stick to their diets and workout routines because they fully understand how overfat and out of shape they are.

And particularly important is that they have found a routine that produces results quickly and is something they can live with every day for the rest of their lives.

Good luck.

Pick the weight that you want to get to and tell yourself to keep at it until you reach that weight. If you go down a size, celebrate by treating yourself to a shopping spree!
