I have the same problem. I don't recommend any products that you apply to your hair. They've never helped me.
Instead, get the right shampoo and conditioner. Buy from a line of products that is specifically designed for curly hair. Curls need moisture to hold their shape. A good shampoo and conditioner will properly moisturize your hair and help maintain a shapely, soft curl.
Also, don't wash your hair too often. Only wash it every other day, maybe even less.

well, u kno... i have somehow the same kind of problem, at first if u apply a hair product, it wont last very long and then it will poof up and it seems like your head is bigger than average because of your hair...i use Sunsilk which is not expensive and u can easily buy it at wallgreens, k-mart, wal-mart, etc. it comes for different types of hair, find one that the description matches the exact same problem that u have...give it like two weeks or so ...it really works

I have always used john frieda's frizz serum. It does a good job of taming my frizzy hair most of the day. But if you start to sweat or it is really really humid, it tends to slack off a bit so you might have to reapply

Frizz Ease. Just be careful not to use too much because it could make your hair greasy
