As a lot of people mentioned, it's safer (less spyware can work on it) and less annoying (popups are pretty much history except a few every now and then, and even then usually the harmless ones).

Tab browsing is convenient, so u can group all the pages that belong together actually together instead of different windows. U can still open in new windows if u need to do so (to separate ur email window from ur web surfing window for example).

The most fun thing about it is that it is very customizable. If u check out the extensions, there's plenty of fun addition u can add to ur browser, most of which I haven't even had the chance to try. Also u can change the looks with skins (I personally like pimpzilla, it's so pimp it's funny). Extensions and skins are open to everyone, and u can even make ur own. There's a free tutorial provided by them. One of the extension is "IE tab" which opens an IE browser directly inside a Firefox tab (the best of both worlds inside the Firefox world!). U can use that when something doesn't show up right in Firefox (which is pretty rare, unless u visit small unpopular sites on which developers have not bothered to test on Firefox).

Other than that, it's pretty much like IE. So why go for the average, when u can go for the better? Why not put control of the browser into ur hands, instead of letting Microsoft do the decisions for u?

P.S. Microsoft thinks it owns the market, so IE doesn't follow internet standards, which everybody else uses. Microsoft view standards as "suggestions," which is likely a stupid move, and we'll see how that rolls out in the years to come.

P.P.S If u don't like Firefox, I have another browser in my arsenal that might peek ur interest. Opera. Used to be paying, now free. I think it's pretty neat. Mouse gestures to browse, that's cool. (someone developed an extension for firefox based on this since it's so neat). The interface is slick too. Less support than IE and Firefox though, which I think is a shame.

1- It has popup blocker.
2- It has download manager.
3- It has search bar on its own, which can be arranged on any famous website(like google, yahoo, wikipedia)
4- I've installed it 2 days ago, At first I found It very cool, but after sometimes, Its speed became lower than before! I checked, and I found tht you should not add too many bookmarks(favorites) and you should not use it side by side with Internet Explorer. They are not match... Its just what I guess and is not any technical ...
5- But overall I recommend you to install it atleast for once, You can get it from my website too: iqtest.cabspace.com (on the right-top side of page)

Firefox protects against viruses and spyware better than IE does. Try using IE for a week, and then do a scan for spyware (I reccomend Ad-aware: http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10399602.html?tag=lst-0-1 ), and then use Firefox for another week before scanning. I found over a hundered files after a week with IE, and four after a week with Firefox.

Firefox is safer to use than internet explorer or outlook express. It is designed to better protect you from viruses and pop ups and things you just don't want on your computer. IF you love a virus, spyware free computer, then you'll switch to Firefox.

At least I think so...

God Bless

Simple... with firefox, you have SAFE browsing. It is infinitely more difficult to get viruses and spyware with it. That's the differance. It's safe, and much better.
