I wanna disable the WINDOWS NOTIFICATION messages poppingup on TASKBAR ! folks.
Not the browser popups

Please follow this path to get rid of pop up related problems. U will hv to do two things. First Tools > inernet options> privacy > check the box of block pop ups > move the slide bar to medium high> ok. Second Tools> pop up blocker > pop up blocker settings> Set the filter level to high> ok. U will get rid of all the pop ups permanently.

hi, do use a software which has the built-in to avoid 4 pop-ups... like mozilla firefox, internet explorer 7 beta or higher (works only on genuine windows xp) etc.
i prefer mozilla firefox browser, the best you can get with built-in download - capacity to block pop ups, pause or resume a download.
also, as an alternative, u can use pop up blockers like google toolbar, yahoo toolbar etc.

I don't know how if there is. I'm a pretty sophisticated user and have looked more than once. I understand that you are talking about the yellow "speech" type balloons that pop-up. Sorry I didn't have a better answer for you.

get a pop-up blocker .. I use Google's and it takes care most of the pop-up ads..
