For a complimentary contrast:
Blues are the complimentary color of oranges. I would look at medium to darker blue shades as well as deep shades of lavender and purple. Throw some cream tones in for balance.

For understated elegance go with a monochromatic scheme:
More copper, deep rich golds and rich chocolate tones.

Stay away from reds, greens, bright and pastel colors. Use 3 colors in the room: one as your field color (like your copper bedroom set) and 2 accent colors. Using only 2 colors in your room is dull and uninteresting and using more than 3 would make the room seem too "hodge-podge".

I would go with cream colors - beiges - at least for the bedspread. It will look clean and classy. Even bright white would be nice as well. Use the colors such as bold red, light blue, charcoal grey, and a creamy orange to use for throw pillows and other small accessories.

Hope it turns out the best for you! Good luck!

You can use a creamy buttery color or a rust tone. Probably a shade of green, celery or sage, would look good. Even black would work. Experiment. Have fun and go with what you like. Don't worry about "matching" as much as what feels right to you.
