Yes! You have no hope of running KDE or Gnome, but other xwindow systems will run on 32mb fine like XFce, fluxbox, blackbox.

I have an old Pentium with 200 Mhz and 24 mb of ram running fluxbox on the latest version of slackware.

If you are newer to linux, I perhaps don't recommend slackware though. (Although with a lot work, you can get slackware to run on pretty much anything). Pretty much any distro can be set up with a different xwindow system. This one might be ideal though:

Xubuntu - the Xfce verion of ubuntu.

Edit: Looking into it, Xubuntu will needs more than 32 megs of ram to run (easily). As I said you can get slackware to run for sure, but will take some work with the text command line.

Try this "www.puppy.com" this is made for small memory and older-earlier models that are not now upgradeable. I am going to make a internet-surfing machine only usung this distro for an OS.
