Because it's no longer a mystery. The lost ships are caused by gas pockets rising to the surface with such great force that they can sink ships.

I tend to agree with king as the ships can sink due to huge methane gas escaping the earth but it is still a mystery why all the airplanes have gone down there,, It is possible that the methane could overtake a airplane engine and choke it from getting oxegen which is required to run an engine, But man that would have to be one big bubble to do that, but it is very possible,,
But that still dont explain why the insturment gages go crazy in that area,, that could be something to do with magnetic force in the area at different times

Actually they do.....But scientist have discover that large methane gas deposits under the ocean floor off the cost of are the root for all the disappearances..... whe a largeamount escapes it can cause enough of a disturbance to sink vessels; as well as itc stale plane engines because it will cut te oxygen to them...In small doses of Methane gas is harmless to boats, but can make planes insturments go haywire which can cause them to crash into the ocean or cause the pit to ovr compensate.

because its been solved and its not a mystery any more......the ship got to the bottom because of methane gas and magnetic feild that qround that area that one of the reason why most gadgets dont work good in that area either......
