I have several options and don't like the default (photoshop) and want to change it to something that opens faster, but can't find the place to edit this preference.

The windows fax and picture viewer is excellent
If you have XP, in windows explorer go to tool, folder options, file types. Go to the suffix (.jpg) and associate it with the program you want.

Ok. simple, you right click on the picture, go to open with and choose other program. choose the one you would like and then under where you choose, there is a checkbox for always use this program (note: windows xp only)
