I'll paint you a rainbow to hang on the wall,
to brighten your heart when the grey shadows fall.

On a canvas of joy outlasting the years,
with a soft brush of sweetness to dry all your tears.

I'll paint you a rainbow with colors of smiles
That glow with sincerity over the miles.

On a palette of words I will tenderly blend
Tones into treasures of sunlight and wind.

I'll paint you a rainbow that reaches so wide,
Your sights and your sorrows will vanish inside,

And deep in the center of each different hue,
A memory fashioned especially for you.

So lift up your eyes, for suspended above,
A rainbow designed by the fingers of love...

( not my own work but lovely )

Well I don't know how good this is. I wrote it years ago when I first got saved and I felt like just giving up but something, I like to believe it was God, wouldn't let me. So here goes....

Be Encouraged

While quietly lying in my bed
I ever so slowly bow my head
The thoughts that try to invade my mind
Are of the day that's left behind
I think of all the mistakes I made
And wish that I didn't loos this game I've played

As a Christian I've failed again
To win against the devil's plan
The game he plays within my mind
Leaves me lost and trying to find
The answer to how the battle's won
And how to stand till the war is done

I read my bible day and night
And pray the Lord will help me fight
But my flesh is in control
My spirit tries but can't take hold

But still as time just passes me by
My spirit say I still must try
My prayer and studying is not in vain
But I must fast if I'm to gain

The gifts that God's instilled in me
The power to finally stay set free
If I'm to survive the tempter's snare
Then I must try harder to be prepared

There are some battle's I have won
Victory was there more often than once
We all must that through this fight
We might not always do what's right

But when we know God's word is true
His son gave his life for me and you
So if by chance we stumble or fall
He'll pick us up and help us stand tall
Believe it or not I won't be discouraged
Because tomorrow I'll try again so be encouraged

My Psalm
My Lord, my God

You who created the earth, and every living thing
A universe so vast, it's beyond understanding

Who created lofty mountains, and thundering seas
The mustard seed, and the majestic trees

Who lived in a cloud by day, and fire by night
And appeared to Paul, as a blinding light

Who spoke to Your friend Moses, face to face
And sat above the Ark, in that Holy place

Who knows every bird, that's alive or dead
Or the number of hairs, upon my head

Who knit me together, in my mother's womb
Whose words bring joy, in days of gloom

No matter where I am, You hear my prayer
And keep me free, of the Devil's snare

Because of You Lord, I have no fear
In the valley of death, I know You're near

I can walk the streets, in the dark of night
And not be afraid, of depth or height

When weapons are formed, I will call on Thee
And quench the flaming darts, brought against me

I feel like Caleb, in my advancing age
Bring on the enemy, and I'll engage

My eternal life, is within Your Hand
And it will not be taken away, by any man

I am not moved, by what I feel or see
It is only Your Word Lord, that will move me

First time in the City
Tall building I went
The stair's looked inviting
But the Button was lit
I'd heard bout' the ride
As I walked cross the floor
And when once inside
The thing closed it's door's
It hummed and it ranted
And I thought Oh Lord
And Zipped me right up
To the 84 Floor
It was so uplifting
My Spirit had Soared
But my Life flew befor me
As it opened it's Door
And way down below
Where I was befor
If this thing fall's over
I'm glad JESUS is LORD.

The last song, the last willow, the last rose...
Give your passion to the night, let it carry you on its gentle breezes, washing through your hair, and embracing your soul.
Ever further into the abyss, drawn by the whispers that call from the darkness. Finding the one true kiss, that brings eternity
Become lost in the seas of desire, that never let you go, but hold you in , mind body and soul, creating the immortality you seek. Kiss the dawn goodbye and awaken to your new morning, illuminated by moon beams... and starry midnights. To be forever.

Footprints in the sand

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the
sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he
noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one
belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When
the last scene of his life flashed before him, he
looked back at the footprints in the sand. He
noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed
that it happened at the very lowest and saddest
times in his life. This really bothered him and he
questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that
once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all
the way. But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is only one set
of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed
you most you would leave me." The Lord replied,
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would
never leave you. During your times of trial and
suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it
was then that I Carried You."

I lifted up the trash can lid and spotted chocolate crunchies
I lifted up those tasty treats and satisfied my munchies
A sickly feeling filled my head
My tongue stuck out, my face turned red
My belly promised certain doom
I ran into the little room
I lifted up the toilet seat and filled the bowl with chocolate treats.
The overflow I wiped away
That's enough uplift for me today.

This morning as I awoke I recalled having a dream of sorts. It was so interesting to me as well
as my husband, here is what I dreamt:
I dreamt that I was just having a wonderful dream about nothing, just happy and relaxed, and
as I rolled over I saw my husband tossing and turning. It was then that I spoke to him in my
mind and in soothing words asked him to "let me describe my dream state to you using the
beautiful words that exist here, and you will then be able to join me".
I have never had a dream quite like that and whenever I told my husband about it he expressed
how wonderful it made him feel that I was inviting him into my other world too.

I'll do a little more than give you an uplifting poem. I'll give you a few sites to visit when you're having "one of those days"! (Hope you don't have many of those kind of days). God Bless!

IT MATTERS MUCH

What does it matter?
That I spare a plate of food,
For a person who is hungry,
In a world where there are so many hungry?
It matters much, just to that one.

What does it matter?
That I spare a moment of my time,
To care for a person who is sick,
In world where there are so many sick?
It matters much, just to that one.

What does it matter?
That I share my love,
With a person who is orphaned,
In a world where there are so many orphans?
It matters much, just to that one.

What does it matter?
That I open my heart,
To moan with a person who is bereaved,
In a world where there is so many dying?
It matters much, just to that one.

What does it matter?
That I do an act of kindness,
To another human being,
In a world where there is so much violence?
It matters much, just to that one.

So I stand firm,
Strengthened by the hope and faith,
That though it be a small act
It matters much, just to that one.
