Sounds like a reference to the 6-6-6 in revelations (New Testament). Obviously, identification is important as it protects your assets from criminal activity and establishes a basis for trust in a free economy. Personally, I prefer bio-ID, like fingerprints, voice recognition, etc.
But if a bar code was to be put on my forehead by force, there would be only one option: resistance by force. So I would choose neither obedience nor jail, but armed resistance. If insufficient people joined me in armed resistance, then I would opt for an armed retreat into exile with whatever group agreed to that course of action.

Rather than being coded with the mark of the beast? I would choose jail for sure!
The bible talks about a mark that would allow you to buy food etc. and those who don't have it will not be able to. There's a book out that looks at the secret code of the bible. It says that the mark will be called MONDEX. Did you know that it's the trade symbol found on all new MasterCard credit cards? I find it quite ironic that the mark of the beast should be on a MASTERcard credit card rather than the VISA or American Express.

I would probably just obey and my hate for the Government would grow of course but I would cover up the mark with a cap or something like that

I wouldn't like it, but I don't know if I'd prefer jail to it. On theo ther hand, that'd be like displaying your Social Security number on your forehead: BAD security. Because the people who you WANT to keep tabs on are the ones that are going to distort the numbers, whereas everyone else suddenly becomes a sitting duck.

Why would you think "jail" is an option, when they are turning people loose everyday because of over crowding?
When the world gets to that point, I believe your option will be:
Recieve the Mark..or loose your head.
