I have found that actions speak louder than words. Sometimes no comment is felt deeper in the gut better than a whisper. As long as Christians keep feeding the fire...the fire will burn stronger than ever.

Hi Debra! Hope all is well with you!
Well, I agree and I *disagree*.
I agree because I do not like the type of Christians who stand on a soapbox somewhere and scream at the top of their lungs, hell fire and brimstone. That is a turnoff.
However, I am not opposed to open air preaching where the person speaking is preaching God's 10 Commandments and how people *must* turn away from their sins and turn to Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and eternal salvation, such as the way Ray Comfort ("Way Of the Master") preaches. He preaches loud, but so as to get the attention of those listening, so that they will be convicted of their sins and repent. Unrepentent sinners who constantly push the truth of Christ away, *need* to be woken up of of their "slumber". They need to hear things like sin, judgment, and hell, otherwise, they will die in their sins and be lost in a Christ-less eternity forever. Open air preaching done with sincere love and concern for the people is, I think, the best way to go about doing that. Think of it this way. If someone's house were on fire, you wouldn't whisper to them, "Excuse me. Your house is on fire." No, if you care about the people in that house, you're going to be banging on their door screaming, "Your house is on fire! Wake up, wake up!" Do you see what I'm getting at?
However, evangelizing one on one is quite different. Myself, I use the 10 Commandments as a "mirror" to hold up to the person I am speaking to so that they can see themselves as they truly are: Sinners in the hands of an angry God. Hebrews speaks of that. But this is also done with love and with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15-16.

God said: with a loud voice.

The Word of God, shakes the world.
When the ox is thrashing, nobody silence it.
Did Jesus say: Go forth and whisper the Gospel?

Frances of Assisi said always preach the message and when necessary use words. But then it also depends on the witness and the audience. God uses many types of witnesses. I am just one that prefers whispers. It is sometimes slower but the lasting effect seems to be stronger.

I completely agree. I also think that actions are louder than words. The way you live your life will reflect what you believe.

I agree with you. Loud voices tend to overshadow those voices which are filled with reason.
You are on the right track.

You are very wise and this is most certainly true. Zealots only chase unbelievers farther away from God.
