Religion is a very personal thing. If you are a castholic good for you. However, if you are feeling confused about being a catholic and feel more comfortable with what the evangelists way of preaching then that is just fine. If you are thinking about changing you religion, then go to other churches to try to see if you feel comfortable and welcomed. The first church that you go doesnt necessarily mean that that is the place where you are gonna stay. Pray to God about it, to give you direction where you should go. Good luck and God Bless.
PS. I personally was a non practicing catholic and changed religions a couple of years ago, I am a protestant now and I wouldnt change it for the world. (My change didnt have to do with anything about discomforts in the catholic church, it was just the place where God led me to, but just so you knew.)

There is a lot to be said for confession.
If you ever get the chance read the AA's 12 steps. Now I don't hold to there belief of a higher power per say but if you wanted to run a Good religion base it on the 12 steps!
As far as anything else, what are you or what do you think you are looking for in a church?

I say Denounce the catholic church, Get a bible and read the word for yourself. You really don't need religion. You need to confess your sins to Jesus not a priest who has no power. Forget the rituals, Just read and pray. If you can do that, I promise you'll grow in the lord.
P.S. You might want to watch John Hagee sometimes

List all the things you think wrong about catholicism and ask/read what the true position of the catholic church (which means use catholic books and documents) about them. then go read other denomination's true position(official documents only, not common people telling you this and that because they might be biased or as confused as you)regarding those things. always remember not to bring into consideration your opinion because religjon is not a matter of personal opinion or interpretation. that is the way to make sound decision.

Why should you have to stay in the catholic religion? I left my church and went to Victory Outreach it's a world wide christian organization. Anyway I'm not trying to say it's the best it's just that it's different, the one I go to is in a spanish nieghborhood and every sunday they have singers, music and food. I don't feel bored and the people are very friendly.

Congratulations for listening. But still thats not saying much. Joyce and Jessie both preach from the "Word of faith" movement. Their sermons or teachings are desinged to make converts to themselves -not to Christ. Unfortunatly they are both in it for the money. I hate to tell you this. I hope you continue on this journey. Try a Calvary Chapel for a few weeks. It is a no strings attached church. They are all over the USA.

You have the right of it pretty much. However it does say in the bible to confess our sins- and the context is we confess our sins to someone we trust who is our friend, not a preist.
I would strongly encourage you to find a church that accepts you so you can build up your friends and be with people who will help you spiritually grow, Good Luck! :)

Religion is nothing but a load of bull. Be good and belive in your self and take responsibilty for your own actions. Why do you need religion anyway...... doid you ever ask that question except to get to heave .........if that exist............who has gone there and back to telkl if its actually there.......the same applies to hell as well. I belive that this is it.........we live and we die...... end of story. Follow your heart and dont let people of religions dictate your life. Learn to think and decide for your self for once and you are a free person and the whole world is your play ground....... good luck

The only way to know the truth is by asking God. I would recommend looking into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Read the Book of Mormon and ask God if it is true. You can get a free Book of Mormon from this site: http://www.mormon.org/freeoffers/ Please keep an opened mind and ask God in prayer. God bless.

I think that you shouldn't be something just because, read and become what u want to be and believe what u want to belive. The confession thing I never understood, because who are they to tell me that i have to confess my sins to someone who is raping kids anyway.
plus the bible is a book written by a man, what makes u think that there aren't any mistakes in it?
