Silver plugs would conduct electricity, making them rather dangerous........

I sprayed mine silver with a normal spray paint, purchased from B&Q just check you get the right one as there are several different kinds.
Silver paint does not conduct electricity it is just the colour silver not actually silver metal melted down to make the paint. Mine look great and I varnished them to to make them shiny, very chic.

Spray the old ones!!
Unscrew them. Use just the top cover. Clean them with detergent and RINSE well. Spay with acrylic car paint, and add a top coat of varnish. Voila - silver plugs!!!

You could always paint them, remove all the bits, so you just got the outer and spray paint is easier.
They look good too I've tried it.

you cant get them for safety reasons best bet is spraypaint the tops only
