We are supposed to be able to ask anything as long as it's not racist, sexist, blah blah blah. There is no rule to say the question can't be stupid, some of the people on here have decided to take charge and tell people off for not asking intellectual, yawnfest, mind numbing, seriously boringly serious questions. Or they are just out to annoy others because they can (probably totally intimidated in real life but because this is anonymous and they can't get any come back they let rip and feel big and confident for the first time in their rubbish lives) I say ignore them and just ask more and more stupid questions to wind them up!!! yay I like a bit of mischief I am gonna stop now before I waffle on some more about irrelevent c rap xxxxxx bye, happy stupidness

Probably not esp. when you use "fink" for think. The Internet is both the great equalizer and the forum for LCDs. Just look at the spelling and bad grammar of most people, that is open for attack and should be.
As far as Im concerned, ask a stupid question, expect stupid answers. It's when I post an intelligent question and get answers like "____sucks" it annoys me no end. Wat exactly are these doofuses contributing to the event? Sorry, but the world is full of morons otherwise how do you explain the popularity of rap music, fast food and war as a solution to geopolitics?

Whenever you open your mouth in any public forum you risk raising the ire or jealousy of those around you. It can to annoying, sometimes embarrassing, but it's worth it. If you learn a tidbit of information that helps you get through the day it's valuable. And sometimes we learn a lot about the people around us by what they say. Remember their words show more about them than their insult can hurt you.
I answered a question recently and added a sports reference. The person sent a message back to me that they appreciated the answer but not the reference and they chastised me because they thought it was sexual. I could have hung my head in shame but laughed myself sick. They obviously don't get out much.

From what I have read it is not only stupid questions that face verbal assault ... but there are no stupid questions .... and in terms of the assault ... pay no attention .... some people haven't learned to communicate very well ... best of luck!

There is a big difference between being dumb and being stupid.
Most of the stupid questions are questions that any 6 year old could answer.

stupid answers are tolerated and can be fun and honest. Stupid question and short questions encourage abuse my advice is to give complex questions with as much detail as possible.

I personally think any - let me qualify here - **SINCERE** question is not stupid.
But, to answer your question, I think most of the seemingly stupid questions on here are posted by people who intended them to come across as stupid questions. And, no, I am pretty sure if it comes off as stupid, someone is going to let you know.
