My sister whines and whines for what she wants, and I ask nicely. She gets all the crap she wants while I stand, waiting for a damn answer. They dump all the responsibility on me, while she plays with her barbies or whatever crap she came up with. Most people just say she's so cute, while I'm standing there, serving her. What am I, a f*cking retard to everyone? Am I not as good as her? Do people hate me because I'm not cute?

Holy crap people, I don't care if I'm older. They act like I'm not there. This is the damn first time I'm whining about it. Why can't I f*cking whine? HUH?

Whoa!! Cool your jets. This emotional explosion is registering on the Richter Scale. 4.5 and rising steadily. Did you laugh? Yes Good. Now this problem of yours - what are you really asking? Do you want judgement on your parents for showing favouritism towards your younger sibling? Well I'll agree that she is perhaps getting a little more than she may otherwise deserve.
You sound very strong-willed and independent. Must you really - as you put it - serve your sister? In answer to your other question - No I don't think you are a retard however I think that you need to take a step back for a moment and look at what is really going on here. I am not going to pass judgement on you for what you are thinking or even how you're thinking it. But stop for a minute, switch off the aggression generator and calm down.
Bottom line - your sister is younger than you - for some reason that justifies her getting more attention but that doesn't mean your parents think of you in lesser terms.
Be the mature big sister and take it on the chin.

Maybe your parents really do favour your sister, I haven't observed them so I really don't know. If that's the case there isn't much you can do about it. The only person you have responsibility for is yourself. You can cultivate a friendly and charming, non-complaining personality. Right now it sounds like it needs some work, but you CAN do it. That way at least you will be well liked by people outside the family, while your sister will probably remain a whiner, and fail to impress anyone when she grows up and loses her cuteness.

younger children from the age 0-10 are VERY VERY spoilt. i have a young sister 5 years old and it is a pain in...never mind, you got 2 ways;
1-treat your family hard so they feel you value (this solution is the worst and no use).
2-run away for a while, better know someone who can put you up, and they will value you(not a nice solution and little hard to carry out)
3-have a serious talk with your parents about this.
4-if they don't listen to you, work harder and prove you are successful and show 'em who rules!.
5-and sooner or later, you will move on in life and become independence, so don't worry. it will end sooner or later...

Calm down sweetie, it sounds as though your parents give in to her to shut her up more than anything. Cute only carries you so far. Being older and obviously acting more responsible, they depend on you because they can't count on her for anything. It's temporary...trust me. I have a large family and we created a beast this way. Our youngest son was spoiled rotten by everyone. Everyone, including his siblings gave him everything just to shut him up. Now that he's five, it's no longer cute and he's finding it harder to get the things he wants by throwing a fit. But, this did not come to light by itself. It took my two oldest sons to come to us and tell us how it was making them feel. You are going to have to do the same to your parents. And maybe not both of them, just the one that you are closest to. But you also have to do it in a responsible manner, site some examples for them and help find a solution. This way they'll take you seriously and will be a little more cautious when it comes to giving into your sister.

That is too bad you are treated that way. You should not have to take second place to anyone. Who cares how cute she is. I can see she will probably grow up expecting everything from everyone.
I don't think there is too much you can do about favoritism in the family. It happens in so many families and it is not fair.
Good luck to you sweetie.

Deal with it and wait until you're 18 and you'll be out of there. In time, your sister will be begging for your help when she is down in the dumps, because she wasn't raised to respect people and to have responsibilities. Best of luck.

Same thing happened to me. My sister was the golden child no matter what I did. So I just went on and lived my life, found great friends, interests etc and got on with my life. Slowly things are starting to equal out more, but I'm not bothered by it anymore. Best of luck.

My parents are the same way. My little brother has a PS2, a TV in his room, a brand new CD player....they never let me have a TV in my room! And I'm the one going to college, I've got the good grades, I deserve better stuff! He even failed a year, and he still gets a TV. I'm glad I moved out.
