Few year ago I've shown him my insurance (Alliance PPO) information, he treated me and has been paid. I've always remind him of making sure that I will be OK with him treating me with regard to claiming to Alliance.
He didn't have enough help; and he have done the paperwork himself sometime. All of that has brought to the situation that he can not follow up Alliance policy which state that since he is not an in-network provider, Alliance will stop cover services he rendered to patient. After he fail in claiming, he turned back on me with a bill of more than 17 grand.

Anyone have knowledge or experience in this subject? Please help. I'm just a low income worker for a supermarket company.

Thanks many time?

he's your doctor, if insurance will not pay him you are responsible for paying for the treatments he gave you!

Im not sure I totally understand, but if the insurance didnt pay because of him messing up the paper work, get a lawyer. If he isnt coverd as a provider on your insurance, get a medical card thats what half of america does anyway. Seems like everyone can get one but ME! and start seeing a doctor on your insurance list.

unfortumately, you owe him the the $$$. It is your responsibility, not his, to make sure that you are seeing a doctor in the network, and not out of it. He can say whatever he likes, but it's still your responsibility to make sure you are covered.
