Will God bless and forgive Atheists for being more intelligent than their religious counterparts? I’m obviously talking about the imaginary fantasy God that exists in the mentally handicapped mind of religious people. Clearly God doesn’t exist, and Atheists are intellectually superior to religious people (a well researched and published fact) but in your religious little world, will God bless and forgive Atheists?

After all, It’s a statistical fact that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god. For every college student that converts to a religious belief system, 17 college students convert to atheist beliefs. Atheists have an average intelligence of 25 IQ points above their Christian counterparts. Atheists are here to help “the lower IQ religious person” see the light, learn, convert, and hopefully start making a positive contribution to humanity.

The question is will atheists ever forgive those who invented the god fantasy?

Obviously God Blesses Atheists every day. Forgiveness comes with the desire of their hearts to be forgiven.

I'm somewhat curious as to why you feel the need to verbally accost lesser beings. Why have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent? I suppose on average the intellectually enlightened may very well have a significantly higher IQ. I don't see how this make the intellectually enlightened a better person.

I am also amused by conversion to "atheist beliefs". I didn't realize there was an established belief system for atheists.

I've not come across a well researched study demonstrating the intellectual superiority of Atheists. Even if this were the case, do you believe/think/observe atheist, as a group, are more content?

Curiouser and curiouser.

Brenda, why? I firmly believe in your right to be an atheist, I don't feel it is necessary to insult your intelligence, your motives or your family dog. Why are you so needful of insulting Christians?

I disagree with your beliefs, yet it doesn't make you stupid, nor less than human.

I have a friend who is a surgeon, he does some wonderful work. He is a very kind, loving, person and family man--oh and a Christian. I am disappointed to learn he isn't making a positive contribution to humanity. Neither did Mother Theresa I guess.

How do you define a positive contribution to humanity? Would that be defined as believing just as you do with no options?

Oh that's BS and you know it. Not the intelligence thing, but athiests trying to convert people for their own good. Athiesm doesn't logically follow that people shouldn't believe in religion unless you can make the arguement that people are better without religion than they are with religion. And frankly, while you can make the arguement that all those things religion provides (community, morals, etc) CAN be done without them, can they be done as easily and effeciently?

As an agnostic, it is my personal belief that the world would be phenomenally better off with most people believing in a religion of whose dictates and purpose was designed in such a way that they lead individuals towards the social optimum. If individuals have a moral incentive to not commit crime, then the legal incentive to not commit crime doesn't have to be as harsh, which alleviates the cost on society to enforce its rules. Truth for truth's sake only works when that truth is used to make predictions about our world.

Let the theists remain theists; in general, it's in their best interest to, even if they're wrong. HOWEVER: I'd certainly be in favor of someone somehow radically altering the state of Christianity (and other religions) into ways that are a greater social optimum without infringing upon individual freedoms so much. Certainly, the religion of this day and age has a long way to go...

Einstein was and atheists. I have his writtings and have read a lot of his writtings and he even clams to be.. I wish I could find more. Most are locked up and will stay that way.

No the god that everyone beleives in would put us all in hell because from what I can tell from reading and hearing you all talk is he is not a forgiving god. NO wait I am wrong.. I forgot you could kill anyone you want and still get 70 virgins when you die. Or if it was not an american that you killed all you would have to do is ask for his forgivness and then you could go to heaven. But I wonder if that is why the Nuns are all virgins.. There has to be 70 of them for each arab man.

If god was real then we would have something to talk about here but he is not.

I don't believe god exists, i know god exists, how is that for your statistics. Here are my logical processes on the existance of god.
First, i have to prove to you that the universe is infinite, which is easy, anything with boundaries, even indefinite ones, has something beyond them. Done.
Second, now that the universe is established as infinite that means we don't exist, because if the distance between points A and B equals and the distance between points A and C is infinite that makes the distance between points A and B non-existant. Damn but done.
Third, we are here so that proves that the second statement false even though it is true. Crap.
Fourth, seeing as how i seem to have contradicted myself with to true statements, they are; we exist and the whole distance thing, that leads only to two things. Either, this is complete bullshit(which you will probably tell me it is), or, god created the infinite universe.

just to let you know that statistics don't tell you ****, because no matter how you put it in to numbers there is still that random event that can occur at anytime. An IQ tests are bullshit too, the tests only prove how well you can take a test not how smart you are. Intelligence is not measured in just IQ points, you can't just look at the answers to the problem, you also have to look at how they were solved. I don't expect you to convert on my words alone, but i will expect you to quit being arrogant.

And besides, the statistics don't prove that atheists are smarter, they just prove that a higher precentage of people who go to college are unsure of their religion and convert to atheism. you have to remember that not everybody goes to college, and not everybody who goes to college is all that smart, they could just be hard workers.

lol wow. "After all, It’s a statistical fact that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god". You couldn't be more wrong my friend. Isn't Atheism a religious belief in itself? "there is not a god"? You might want to look at your history,Einstein and Issac newton were Christians. You consider them Mentally Handicapped?. I'll pray for you. Superior Intellectuals.....lol

***Will God bless and forgive Atheists?

To awake after a restful sleep is a blessing and atheist do that.

To be able to properly support and nurture your family is a
blessing and atheist do this also.

There are more Christians than atheist in prison and that is a blessing.

So, yes if the imaginary was in actuality fact, God would
most definitely bless and forgive atheist if they were to ever do anything wrong.

You are definately entitled to your opinion but do you really think you got your intelligence from a monkey. Do you really think that your ancestors are monkeys and they evolved into humans. And what about the bible? Who "made those stories up"? Beleiving in God real or "not" gives people someone to look up to in their times of need. And what about death? Are you ok with accepting the fact that you will NEVER see the ones you love again. God will bless and forgive Atheists if they come around. I mean look at Paul from the Bible. HE never beleived in God and then he became a follower. "I'd rather die beleiving in a God and there not be one as opposed to not beleiving in God and there do be one and I end up in hell".

Why do you care? You think God is a fantasy and if he is a fantasy then how can you seek forgiveness and how can a fantasy forgive you?

You know...........you should show a little respect for what it is that people believe in and keep your beliefs to yourself.
If everyone did that, I think this world would be a little bit more peaceful because people would get a long much better.

It's simple. You don't like Christians, you don't like them. You don't believe in God, you don't believe in Him. That's your business. Everyone else's beliefs are their business.

thank you so much, you just pointed out what i've been trying to tell everyone. God is just a person/thing that was created to explain how life was created, making him a filler in a hole. Once we actually find out how life was created, the idea of god will be gone. Unfortunately, now people got the idea from somewhere that god can actually hear what they say (wow), and obviously the only people who'd want god to hear them are the people who need something and will constantly pray for it. O by the way the only way he will hear you is if you get on your knees and then put your hands together, you know, he doesnt like to listen to those whos hands are on their head or something.
