okay, u cant be bi-polar because it takes months for this change, not minutes. it could be a chemical imbalance in the brain which makes you very anxious and stressed. a good medication, but you need a presription for this, is paxol. i know someone that takes paxol and it is doing well. it just takes a month or so to kick in. talk to another doctor to see what he/she can do for you.

Mikey, chill out, dude. Any form of medically treatable mental condition is a bummer. You have to realize that weekly visits to your doctor and your FULL cooperation with his efforts WILL soon help, man.
Your mediciation(s) have to be "fine tuned" by the doctor as he is closely studying your progress each week. Eventually, the doctor is going to discover the EXACT milligram dosage per medicine(s) that work for you.
Remember: NO two people are the same; even if they take the same Xanax, one may need a stronger pill than the other.
Give it some time and you'll see things work out much better, man.

I'm not sure why the doctor's aren't helping you. But if you claim that you're happy one minute then mad the next..it sounds like to me you might be manic depressive or showing symptoms of mild bi-polar. I can't really tell..you'd have to be more specific. It could JUST be an anxiety disorder, which if the dose isn't enough to help you, you might want to tell the doctor to increase your dosage.
Another important question...are you using any drugs? Drugs can induce certain levels of anxiety..especially highs & lows.

I'd say bi~polar.I'm taking Xanax also ,almost 4 mgs a day, sometimes it tends to make me very aggressive, like I wanted to fight. My X and I would have some huge fights after I had the Xanax. Hope this helps Hun~

It's rough, i know.... consider the possibility that there seem to be alot of conditions/diseases that cause you to experience "anxiety", and that is not your actual "diagnosis". i.e. depression, bi-polar disorder, mild schizophrenia, or could be something as simple as post-anesthesia or just extreme stress. You should find you a new doctor who will actually "diagnose" you, not over-medicate you with the wrong medication. GoodLuck!
