Anytime you're in a relationship there is a chance for hurt. That is why you need to know someone well enough before sex to be able to love & trust that person.
You need to have an open & honest discussion with your girlfriend. How does she feel about the age difference? A man your age is VERY sexy & distinguished, but how is she going to feel when you're 70 and she's only your age now? Would you , right now, be interested in a 70 year old woman?
What about children? Can you be the right kind of father to them? None of us are guarenteed tomorrow, but are you healthy enough to help her raise them to adulthood?
Is she even ready for marriage? We see things far differently at 23 then we even do at 33.
And why are you considering this? Are you afraid of being alone? Why would you want to chain this young woman to an older man? Have you been married before? Have children? I question your motives.
If you can discuss this all and MUCH more with her and still come to the conclusion that you both want to go the distance......

In 15 years, hypothetically speaking, when you're 63 and she's 48 hopefully you'll both feel the same way about each other or someone is going to get hurt.

I think you are a great person for thinking of others.. You have to think of her age, she has a lot to learn and grow. She will say she hates you for letting her go but in the long run she will love you for thinking of her and not being selfish. You are a grown man and she is a baby compaired next to your brain. You might love her but she will have to take care of you one day if you get sick and I think she will probably leave.. Think long term.. Zella

She needs to find herself a guy close to her age. Someone who can keep up and provide excitement in the relationship. She should be asking the questions on what to do, not you.

Its most likely not gonna work long term. Talk to her. See how she feels. How long have you been dating? You might just be trying to fill a void with her. Try dating someone your own age.
