Looks like a still from an episode of "Fantasy Island" although I can't place the actress. It looks staged and has all the markings of bad television of the late 1970's. It gives me an idea for a TV show:
Set in the lush islands of Hawaii, "Tropical Sisters" is a one hour weekly crime drama. With bikinis and rum everywhere some may wonder why the beautiful young women of the island convent have taken vows of chastity? Each has their own unique story that led them to the island sanctuary of "Our Lady of Perpetual Postponement" convent. There's "Sister Pepper" from New Jersey. She is streetwise but tries to hide it , but her hightop tennis shoes are a dead giveaway that the heart of a free spirit lurks beneath her solid black habit. Then there's sweet innocent "Sister Julie". Sure she's innocent, but she is far from a fool. Her genius for math and codebreaking have saved the girls more than once. "Sister Mook" found her way to the island from Africa. That's no angel on her shoulder, it's a chip. Left there from a childhood that saw far too much harsh reality. She's tough, but there is a tender side too. Is she hiding something terrible from her past? Perhaps she is just trying to keep the anger she hides deep inside from boiling up and taking over. Yes the Sisters are far from boring. Maybe they don't join the vacationers on the beach, but when crime is afoot the islanders all know it's the Sisters and not the inept local police force that can solve the mystery. Of course "Mother Joan" the sweet little old head of the convent is always trying to keep the girls in line. She always discourages them from taking part in the sordid world of crime, but secretly she beams with pride each time they solve a mystery. Don't miss "Tropical Sisters, Thursday nights right after "Charlies Angels" on ABC.
