It seems like many times during every day of the week, I begin a habit where I feel like I just have to go into the kitchen, grab something to eat, and just gobb' it on down.

For instance, every night, it seems like I get this addiction to where I love to go in and eat some spicier nacho cheesier doritos, which is pretty annoying, when I have just ate, and I shouldn't be 'hungry', but I have the feeling and sense in my stomach that I am.

That's not the problem though..I have the feeling where I just have to eat so many of them before I stop. It's frustrating, and every time I finish, I say to myself "Oh, why did I eat these?!"

Could anyone give me some tips on how to stop thinking about food? Thanks, it is much appreciated! I will give the 'best answer' to the person who gives the best response/answer to helping.

Once again, thank you.

I'm on a diet as well, its hard at times. Try not buying those fatty foods, they won't be around when the cravings come. Buy healthier foods like fruits, vegetables, light jello, I eat tons of it when I feel really hungry, I still lose weight and stay full.

I do this exact same thing.
I stopped buying junk food. Or buy smaller amounts, then throw the leftovers away, somewhere that is not my house.
I posted signs in my kitchen, on the 'fridge and cabinets. They ask: Are you really hungry? Do you NEED to eat that? When was your last meal?
Get something to do with your hands while you watch television. Needle point or knitting, go to the craft store and find something. You could paint or macrame (tie knots and make stuff). Not manly I know, but it will keep your mind off the kitchen.
Drink water, sometimes when we are thirsty we reach for food by mistake.
Read "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About". It talks about how the additive and preservatives in food are addictive, and how to solve your cravings for good. It helped me, and it's a good read.
Hope this helps, good luck

I had the same problem. I stopped thinking about eatting when I got involved with crafts. The more crafts I did the less I ate. Pretty soon I had to make myself stop crafting just to eat. it's called Compulsive Eatting Disorder. It is real. Talk with your doctor and then find a hobby that will keep you OUT of the kitchen. Read a book, gardening, crafts, get involved in the community, etc.
Good luck!

Stop buying the junk that makes you feel bad after you've eaten it. Instead stock your kitchen with fruits and vegetables. That way, if you're just going to the kitchen to grab something at least you know it's good for you so you won't feel bad about munching...
