No pain at all. Whether the hip or spine, the person lays on a bench and the machine slowly goes up the body and down, reading into the computer what it sees. Those results are compared with other people of the same gender and age.
Really, NO pain or discomfort. Have a yearly one!

If the over 60 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old has been clinically determined with low bone density, then i'd say to income with your wide-unfold practitioner. i'm specific that there are pills available to help to construct up the bone density. comfortable exercising and nutrition habitual will help too.

Painfree, please ignore the 'break a bone' reply. Sheesh! There are different types of machines used to do the scan, the one thing is that you have to go back to the place that has the same machine that you got your base line readings from. (They are not able to use info from one machine to another.) Essentially they place a foam wedge under a hip, & have the machine scan that area.

It is a screen where you lie down and a machine goes from top to bottom and scans. No die involved, absolutely painless and takes only a few minutes. You can leave your clothes on too.

they break one of your bones, and they read how much force it takes to do so.
it only hurts if you think having a bone broken is painful
