You could have what is called post nasal drip, which means the fluid in the nose is draining down the back of your throat when you sleep, especially if you sleep on your back.
Put a couple of pillows behind your head in an almost seated position when you slelep. Also, try a saline (only) spray just before you go to bed.
Best advise, pay the price and see a doctor!

IM NO DOCTOR, BUT I WAS TOLD BY ONE THAT IT TAKES A COLD LIKE AMONTH AND A HALF TO 2 MONTHS TO COMPLETELY LEAVE YOUR BODY, SO MAYBE U STILL HAVE THE COUGHING SYMPTONS, I HAD THAT BEFORE, ITS VERY ANNOYING ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT HUH! flem basicly snot in your throat u will usally have this after or before a cold u haff to spiit it out u might have a sore throat after wards.
